THE HOST
Silvia has a natural tendency for restlessness, she trained as natural scientist but she always felt the ambition to be an aesthete.
In 2006 she moves to Barcelona for a Phd in Ecology, but the Research doesn’t suit her! She feels greedy of sociality and movement, therefore in 2007 she dedicates her time to scientific communication and events organization between Città della Scienza, Giffoni Film Festival and Napoli Comicon.
From 2011 she feels she has a safe heaven, her house, in the roofs of Spanish Quarters…from here starts her new social, aesthetic and
gastronomic trip…Food On The Roof!
Silvia, irrequieta di inclinazione, naturalista di formazione, esteta di aspirazione.
Nel 2006 si affaccia a Barcellona per un dottorato in Ecologia…ma la ricerca non fa per lei…lei ricerca socialità e movimento! Dal 2007 si dedica alla comunicazione scientifica e all'organizzazione di eventi, dividendosi tra Città della Scienza, Napoli Teatro Festival, Giffoni Film Festival e Napoli Comicon - Salone Internazionale del Fumetto.
Dal 2011 sente di avere un porto sicuro, la sua casa, tra i roofs dei Quartieri Spagnoli a Napoli…è da qui che parte questo nuovo viaggio: sociale, estetico, gastronomico...
THE CHEF
Valentina, is born under the sign of Pisces and is a Sociologist. From 2004 to 2010 she used to live between Milan and Rome working as Personal Assistant to CEO of Magnolia first and then as casting coordinator for several Italian channels.
In January 2011 she moves to London and starts cooking the whole day Neapolitan specialties for all her English friends: she decides that cooking will be the center of her life. She opens up a blog valuskitchen.com,organizes cooking lessons and works as freelance teacher in several Italian cookery schools in London. The 2013 is the year of qualifications: she gets her diploma in cooking at “Gambero Rosso” in Rome and then in Napoli again to work in “Palazzo Petrucci” a one Michelin Star Restaurant in Piazza San Domenico. Now she is divided between Milan and Silvia’s roof!

Dal 2004 al 2010 si divide tra Milano e Roma, prima come personal assistant dell'amministratore delegato di Magnolia, poi come casting coordinator per diverse reti televisive.
A gennaio 2011 si trasferisce a Londra: all'inizio di tempo libero ce n'è, mangiare si deve…è la conversione alla Cucina! Apre un blog (valuskitchen.com), organizza cooking lessons, lavora come free lance in diverse scuole di cucina londinesi.
Il 2013 è l'anno delle qualifiche, con il corso professionale per chef al Gambero Rosso di Roma…e poi di nuovo a Napoli, per uno stage a Palazzo Petrucci.
Attualmente si divide tra cucine milanesi e il roof di Silvia!
